NDC has become a personality cult after the demise of Rawlings – Owusu Bempah

Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu has opined that the foundations of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are shaking and about to collapse.

According to him, the largest opposition party has never been the same since the death of its founder, the late Jerry John Rawlings.

Speaking to TV3 in an interview, Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu claimed that the NDC has now become a personality cult.

“Nobody is in charge at the moment, you know why, the sport of the NDC is gone with Jerry Rawlings.

“Right now you have what we call the Mahama cult, those who believe in Mahama ideology. If you are not a Mahama person you are out,” the NPP Deputy Communications Director said.

Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu continued, “the NDC has become a personality cult that if you don’t support the incompetent one you are not part.”

He further noted that the NPP is happy with the current state of the NDC and will take advantage of it in the 2024 general elections.

“This reckless decision of taking out Haruna, taking out Muntaka who has been able to win a seat for you in the heart of the NPP, is not right but we are happy that strategically they don’t have a clue,” Owusu-Bempah noted.
