Born For Death?

Last night, upon a sober reflection on the death of my friend and a colleague last Friday, 3rd March 2023 at the age 38 and all the other patients I've lost in my almost 17 years of taking care of the sick, I came to these conclusions.

1. Man should stop being arrogant. Upon all the pride and ego, you won't know when and how death will carry you away.

2. Respect all manner of persons, especially, those around you and the poor. In most encounters I've had with my clients, they're saved by marginalized people.

3. Take your health very seriously. Don't wait until you're unwell before you visit the health facility. Let prevention of diseases be your hallmark. Do yearly screenings and when you visit the health facility, take interest in your condition.

4. Stop being stingy. Stinginess has led to people having their early graves. People who are on insurance or health policies are the ones who don't want to personally invest in their health. They want everything to be free but anything quality can never be free. It's your life, not theirs. So jealously protect it.

5. Stop being selfish. As humans, we have to be each other’s keepers and think of the growth and progress of others. Life shouldn't be all about you. Think of the happenings in the life of all.

6. Be grateful. Some people don't show appreciation for the little people do for them. In this life, you're not entitled to even your parent's help, support, or aid. So even if your parents or children offer you help in any way, be appreciative. How much more people who aren't your parents or children? People have died because of how ingrates they are.

7. Save for emergencies. You can be stricken by ill-health any time. So always prepare for that time.

8. You need humans in emergencies. When you are stricken by an ill-health emergency, if humans aren't there, the worse will happen and it could be fatal. No matter the money you have.

9. Learn to accept your mistakes. Ego has killed a lot of people. Some people have never been wrong. They're always right and people should always see sense in their actions. Such a character is a recipe for disaster.

10. Learn to mind your damn business. Stop snooping into the affairs of people. Stop spreading falsehoods about people. You might be destroying and killing people with your words. Be kind to people and learn how to easily forgive.

11. Eat good food and exercise. Stop the sedentary lifestyle. It kills early.

12. Learn to have fun. Boredom kills.
We were born for death. But what will be said about you when alive is the truth, not what is said about you when dead.

All things said about you after death changes nothing but things said about you while alive change a lot of things.

DO ONTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WANT OTHERS TO DO ONTO YOU.
