You Have A Second Chance To Acquire Formal Education

The Municipal Director of complementary Education (C.E.A.) Agency formally known as Non-Formal Education Division; Alhaji Mohammed A. Kpermsin led a high powered delegation from the C.E.A. unit to address the ceremony organized by the Yendi branch of the GHANA NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GARMENT MAKERS, on the 17th of February, 2023 at the Yendi Community Centre.

In his speech, Alhaji Kpermsin enumerated their areas of operation to the general public,which included among others; Complementary Basic Education (CBE), Remedial classes and skills development Education. Mr. Mohammed also revealed that the "leadership of Garment Association collaborated with our Agency two months ago, though the engagement started a year ago, which seeks to equip their members with numeracy and literacy to equip them with the basic skills of reading and writing and again organise remedial class for the SHS and JHS leavers who could not climb the academic ladder after completion, and currently dealing with learners in excess of One Hundred and Thirty-Five (135) learners with functional literacy having fifty-seven (57) learners, JHS remedial having Thirty-Nine (39) learners and that of SHS remedial Forty-Nine (49) learners. With Seven (7) male and the rest beeing Female."

In conclusion, Mr. Mohammed took the opportunity to onbehalf of the Agency to call on the leadership of the Association and the learners to take the classes very serious for it has come to them at no cost. Since the services of Four (4) teachers from the two secondary schools, namely Dagbong State Senior Secondary Technical and Yendi Senior High who have vast knowledge on the subjects were sought by the Agency, with each teacher been paid GHC 200 by the Municipal Assembly. He also brought the attention of the group to another Association that is engaging the Agency to further rope in more beneficiaries, and that whosever wishes to join or knows of any person who has interest in the above mention programmes, should contact the the Municipal office of Complementary Education Agency at the first floor of the Municipal Assembly Building.
