Man Stabs Friend To Death

The Brong Ahafo Regional Police have mounted a hunt for Isaac Apraku, a 25- year old unemployed, who allegedly stabbed to death Yaw Asampana, a 22-year old fitting apprentice, with a broken bottle in Sunyani.

Chief Superintendent Christian Yohuno, Sunyani Municipal Police Commander, told newsmen that the incident occurred on December 27, when the deceased in the company of the suspect and some other friends were returning from a Christmas dance at a restaurant and drinking spot.

He said on the way, one of Apraku's friends, Kwabena Badu, a 20 year old JSS one student, touched the buttocks of the lady with the deceased.

The deceased became offended and in a resultant fight Apraku struck Asampana's head with a bottle.

The suspect then used the broken part of the bottle to stab the neck of the deceased rendering him unconscious.

Chief Superintendent Yohuno said Asampana was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

He said Apraku, sensing danger took to his heels but some friends of the deceased managed to arrest Badu, who is assisting the Police to trace Apraku.

The Police must do Everything Possible to get Apraku and let the Law deal with him. I am Suprised at the Behaviour of Youth. Do we have a Future at all? Can these people be our Future Leaders?
