In this article we are looking at the attributes of a gentleman.

1. Patience

One of the traits of a true gentleman is patience. Men, sometimes without realizing it, will push a lady to be physical. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it can make her uncomfortable. A true gentleman will understand a lady's desire and won’t judge her for any reason. He won’t question her morals, and he’ll fully support whatever decision she makes.

2. Manly Manners

When a gentleman meets a lady's friends or family, she does not worry about what he’ll say. He’s never inappropriate, so she won’t spend a lot of time keeping the man in check. Of course, a gentleman has to do some traditional things as well. He should pull out a lady's chair and hold open doors for her. Most importantly, a gentleman should treat a lady like she deserves to be treated.

3. Limits Language

Real gentlemen act a bit differently than princes in Disney films do. He is not going to go around singing and dancing in order to declare his manhood. A gentleman is usually raw and real. Life is not a G rated movie but a gentleman will not swear or curse and most definitely not direct it at a lady for any known or unknown reason.

4. Small Sweetness

Please and thank you are tiny words with big impacts. It’s important for a gentleman to show appreciation. Small comments can make a lady's day. A lady will love it when hair is unexpectedly complimented. A lady will want a gentleman to be nice to strangers and to smile at passersby. He’ll be the friendly stranger they wish they knew, a lady will be happy to be in the presence of such a gentleman.

5. Keep Calm

Everyone is allowed to get angry, but a gentleman handles his annoyance in a serene way. When the road is clogged with traffic, he does not direct his fellow driver, passengers or even the bus conductor. When he’s bothered, he does not throw out slurs. He knows how to handle his temper. A gentleman does not let his frustration alter communication.
