Freedom never comes - Part 40

Freedom never comes - Part 40
29.07.2020 LISTEN

"Hamster people," mentioned George Fähnrich sarcastically and smiled all over his face. He looked out to the horizon and saw an Oil tanker going into Haifa Port located to his right.

Heinz Wohlfarth saw the Oil tanker and followed it with his eyes while saying: “We people are different, some of us think a lot and try to think of a better, a much different world and after thinking use their very own ideas to make their dreams come true, while the majority of us take life on a more simple scale and just live their lives while occasionally think of a better world, take out to the streets eventually to demand a better world for them and their future kids but at the end of the day turn back home, labour the next day, hope for a good pension, go into pension with small money and wait for ten or twenty years doing pensioners work for death do depart them from life to enjoy a final peaceful rest."

"You are equally sarcastic today...my good old friend...I can see that," laughed George Fähnrich his head off. "You...you are something special...you, you!"

"I do not mean it in a harmful way, not really bad...but I observe and after seeing around me and looking into people`s faces and hear their conversations among each other...this tells me a lot of what they think of life and expect from it...not too much, just sailing their own boat till the grave opens up and they can be laid to final rest...that is all!" answered Heinz Wohlfarth with a twinkle in his eyes. "Just hear what people are talking about each and every day, seconds for seconds. Walking in the streets I hear much. Their conversations are based on simple issues, very stupid things, not worth mentioning them in my eyes and after my understanding. But for them these are major issues that need to be addressed and solved. These are relationship issues, what or what someone said and did not say. These are football results that make or break a person`s happiness while in fact it only makes the players and Managers richer and richer each time a football fan is breathing in an out. Most of us by that behavior, by our thinking and subsequently actions, make others happier than we make ourselves happy...how stupid is that?"

"Very stupid," said George Fähnrich, got up to stretch his legs and walked forward and backwards in a small circle. "We must be more positively egoistic...as when we are not, we will never be ourselves and subsequently useless for and to a progressive world!"

"You are talking as if you do not want the masses to understand what you mean!" laughed Heinz Wohlfarth, got up as well, stretched his legs and followed George Fähnrich in his footsteps. "Egoism is always misunderstood and seen negative, while in fact it comes in a positive and a negative form. The positive from is to develop ourselves to the person we are supposed to be and without pursuing that positive egoism, how can we be of benefit to others?"

"My saying always!" mentioned George Fähnrich making the way back to the beach. He wanted to put his feet into the Sea and feel the freshness of the warm water. "I mean how could we possible make a positive impact that is also long lasting if we do not cherish the positive egoism given to us but always pretend to be so nice to each other that in the end we lose out on ourselves," did he put his feet into the water, looked around the beach realizing the sun would set in shortest possible time, best time for them to head to the streets again and look for a ride back to Kibbutz Ginegar. With his hand in the air indicating the direction they wanted to go to did he add: "Only when we feed our own positive egoism well, we are of the greatest benefit to others and the entire world!" A car stopped, they jumped onto the back seats ready to leave Herzlia.

"I guess you had a jolly great time up in Ein Ziwan, my good friend...my very good friend," laughed Moshe Shalom glad to see Heinz Wohlfarth safe and sound back at his old workplace. "Tell me, how was it and what did you learn?"

While sitting together sharing cup of coffees and cake they were chatting along not noticing they had to be fast to make two more loads of apple containers ready for export. so, they stopped talking, went back to work, finished it in record time before having another round of relaxed conversation.

"Freedom...oh, my God, what a big word, my friend, "poured Moshe shalom another coffee into his friend´s cup and smiled with great wisdom in his eyes, "what a big task to undertake and to see where to find it, in the absolute form or in bits and pieces suitable to taste, in small portion for people to swallow well." He paused for a while before turning back to Heinz Wohlfarth with deep thinking facial expression: "Freedom I guess is not there for us as a whole always in time and space. My observation is freedom, the extent to which we can feel, live and understand it, very much depends on the corners you are in and the time you are going through!"

"You mean," started Heinz Wohlfarth to ask, "freedom is not a universal never changing privilege human beings are capable to live and understand?"

"I am not so sure," started Moshe Shalom his interpretation while biting into a piece of apple crumble homemade as usual by his wife, "you cannot simply live in freedom, absolute or relative freedom, when you have no understanding of life´s matters. You must be conscious of what is going on around you, must have a true and deep interest in the issues of life and not just drink beer and be a hooligan to fight the fans of other teams. Such a life is not capable of understanding, of reflecting on once self which is the basis to discover any form of freedom at all. You need not to have studied at any University, you need not to have clever parents that have a house full of books, you do not need friends that lift you up in your ability to understand and reflect. All you need is the inner sense, the inner eye, which is given to all of us regardless where we start in life as we basically are all the same, we are human beings and as long as our brain is not medically damaged or restricted, we can think and we can develop the sense of responsibility to take charge of our own destiny and future. In that regard as we can think, reflect, make sense of what is around us and ahead of us, we will also have an understanding of what makes us free, in the various forms and the many layers there are to climb up the ladder from dependency to freedom more and more. Absolute freedom, like absolute truth and the I in us, I mean these are basic gifts we have as human beings since we were created. But as we have a free will, we must develop the fighting instinct to see what all these gifts mean to us. We must get down on our knees and dig and dig and dig to bring them out., How far we can reach depends very much on ourselves. Some give up easily, some never dig, some just dig with their mouth by wishing to dig and wishing to understand. To understand is a process as life is a process and as we humans were born as children to grow up, not like the first Adam that was made as an adult right from the start. And as we go along, in any corner of this world in and time of human development, when we deeply understand life, we will eventually come to the sam conclusion over and over again...:"

Heinz Wohlfarth laughed and was thankful for the piece of apple crumble, his second helping given by Moshe Shalom and said while smiling: "Hamster people!"

"You will get a good slap from these hamster people, my friend, if you dare to speak out the truth too loud. This world does not want to be confronted by the truth. People are more content when they live on the surface of life, sailing the waves from cradle to grave. For them to hear what is not pleasant to their ears...you better run away or they will beat you up very well," got Moshe Shalom up to stretch himself, walked over to his forklift, checked the engine oil level, the tire pressure before joining Heinz Wohlfarth again. "One exciting question is as many, actually too many of them, do not live a life in reflection just in doing, in living anyhow with dreams big in their mouths...how to judge them as what every man is capable to achieve, the understanding of life´s matters and the sense to rule the waves and not only sail them from cradle to grave...what to do with these people...especially as they represent the majority of people on earth. Can we truly condemn their simplicity, their wrong ways to relax in life and sail the wave instead to dig deep and rule the world with understanding? What do you think?"

"Oh, master...," laughed Heinz Wohlfarth his head off, "I honestly stay away from such questions and will not answer them. After all, we should not push people in our own direction but should give them the space to come to their own conclusion and see what to think and do in their own small corner in space and time."

"Wise man...smart answer!" applauded Moshe Shalom, packed his rucksack and walked back to Kibbutz Ginegar with his German friend.

Time was flying by. Heinz Wohlfarth had just finished his washings outside his room in two small blue buckets with more than enough washing powder, as George Fähnrich passed by inviting him to sit with him again under the olive tree just before midnight. Before George Fähnrich went over to the moadon to clear the place for the volunteers to have a party for one of their own`s birthday, he heard Heinz Wohlfarth accepting the call to meet him later in the darkness. While hanging his washings over the dry line Heinz Wohlfarth noticed in his mind that no English man would be part of the volunteer group possibly a lesson learnt by the Kibbutznicks. Most certainly time would heal their wounds and they would be ready to accept again volunteers from England.

"Freedom for us humans will be exciting in time to come," said George Fähnrich and looked over to the cotton fields few days before harvesting. As usual the white cotton balls blossom in the night like stars in the skies. "Freedom must be absolute, otherwise we do not have the inner drive to leave our hamster wheel and move on in life. It is a deep in us rooted energy that never allows us to rest...most of us rest, yes, must not all of us for sure! What we live tomorrow is what we have been given into us since the start of mankind, only time was not on our hand to bring it all out. Little progress made takes generations for which reason the universe that is in us has definitely not been brought to light."

"Good point," jumped Heinz Wohlfarth in and was wondering, “and this actually means, that something that as a beginning and is created, so has gone through a process is attached to time. It was a seed, then a plant and the plant are attached to time, so there is harvest and there is death at the end of time for the plant...isn`t it?"

"I know where you are heading to, my friend," smiled George Fähnrich looking him into the eyes. "You mean the earth was created and it took six days of for unbelievers there was the big bang and the universe was created...in whichever way you see the issue...creation was there and with it comes timing. And where there is timing the question arises whether there is not an end one day, in Millions of years possibly, when this time ends and the time of somethings totally different starts, never seen before. As who can we possibly be so arrogant and ignorant to think that time is for always when we see all around us that time is never endless...it is always with us but one golden day it comes to an end...that is what we see in us, in plants, in starts above us. So, what makes anyone believe that this will go on forever and ever. Only because our little mind, our today is unable to imagine long life-span of the universe does that really mean that time has no end...specially time as we see it in the way that surrounds us?"

"Time...oh, time...God gracious time!" praised Heinz Wohlfarth looking up into the skies full of bright small stars. "Time by definition is an ongoing process, it starts, and it ends one day...even if it takes Billions and Billions of years, beyond human imagination...one day eventually it will end...why not? Without time development is not possible, plants will never grow, animals will never live and humans will never work and do their job over time before handing over the torch of life, the time, into the hands of a new generation. The fact that we as human beings cannot see and understand certain things does not mean they do not exist. There are more things that exist, but we have not found out yet as time for that has not yet been by our side. Much that is in us we simply do not know an aspect that comes to our senses in rare moments when we believe certain achievements in our own personal life and life as a society is not possible, but all of a sudden it is there. Inventions start with a blitz second of an idea, a picture, an information given before hard work of try and error, of sweat in our hands and brains and feelings finally brings that idea to light and visible for people around us. Where is that idea coming from? If it is not hidden deep, deep down in us, mostly in certain people ready and willing to carry the idea through to success as otherwise it would be a waste of time when given to a person with no understanding and a fighting spirit. As we agree more and more and more and more often that in this world nothing is fundamentally new, everything comes in familiar shapes and sized, we must assume that there is something like a universe of souls out there above and around us, once given into a body to mature over time, a soul that still works when the body is already dust waiting for the next assignment given to work in another body and sail the waves of history, so even ruling the waves...only in such a concept idea it can be understood that nothing on earth is new, only not seen in time in the form we see it in the present and imagine it into the future as a picture to head to and focus on, to give us hope for a better future, to let us live so that we can create more and bring out more that is hidden deep in us already. So, these limitations of souls that are around us waiting to be given a new body carry all the information that we need until time ends finally for development of the human race."

"If as you tell the truth and are completely right, my friend," laughed George Fähnrich and looked at the Hamburger with serious expression on his face, "do you really believe anyone out there beyond the horizon that we see will understand your words? Don`t they think you are crazy, a mad man, a person of a confused mind? I mean, come on, who will ever be able to understand such words...even the fundamental information is very correct!"

Heinz Wohlfarth turned to his friend from Lübeck and responded: "I know what you are saying. But the goodness is, we sit here all alone by ourselves, only the two of us, you, and me. The people out there are asleep...so let them sleep if they so wish. In any case it is their life, not ours, and so they carry the responsibility for their own destiny, whether they reach it finally or job incomplete...a mess left behind for the next generation, the souls looking for a new body to work with and in, to clear up...basically time wasted. That does not mean when time has wasted the assignment, the job to fulfill is wasted. No, the job that was supposed to be done will be given to future generations to complete...but wasted for the generation that was supposed to achieve certain targets...that is basically all."

George Fähnrich wanted to challenge his friend and asked: "That means, if I understand you correctly, that when an important person carrying a great vision and message, gets assassinated by evil forces, that in the end, the vision he carries will eventually come to pass?"
