The District Chief Executive for the Amansie Central District, Hon. Asamoah Boateng has forewarned delegates in the Odotobri Constituency to pick a good leader in the forthcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries.
As indicated by Mr. Asamoah who was supposed to have settled on Lawyer Anthony Meah, his district has been retrogressing when contrasted with other districts across the country subsequently, an adjustment in the parliamentary stage inside his enclave may have a decent socio-economic effect in the district.
"Our district was created about 16 years ago and we have been facing many challenges, we are still in stage one...from where we picked the district, we are still grinding slowly, out district can't develop faster even though it's among the oldest"
Speaking on Shaft FM's News, he posited that the Amansie Central district erected among some districts within the same era but juxtaposing those districts with that of his, creates a huge disparity.
"Looking at districts that former president John Agyekum Kuffuor created like Formena and Nyinahini in the Ashanti region, these are the districts that were born on the same day but if we take a look at those districts, they are far ahead of Amansie Central for that matter, we are praying for a change after almost 16 years of hardship in the district," he asserted.
Mr. Boateng noticed that regardless of every one of these issues, there will be a requirement for the Odotobri delegates to turn another leaf if that will be the best choice to end the district's poor state.
"Truth must work in this country we cannot be slaveries for so long, after serving as a District Chief Executive in Amansie Central, the NPP has been campaigning on the little projects he embarked on within his 3-year period and there hasn't been any latest development and I cannot unilaterally carry those burdens whereas Akwasi Gyamfi the member of parliament seems not helping form the other end," he said.
He, however, called on the delegates to make a change if that will be the only solution to their dilapidated district.
The NPP parliamentary primaries are scheduled for June 20, 2020, across the rank and file of the country.
The officeholder MP, Hon. Akwasi Gyamfi subsequent to serving near 16 years in parliament has had an extreme rival Lawyer Anthony Meah who is trying to unseat him.
