Ghanaians Want Progress, Not Thieves and Murderers

Ghanaians Want Progress, Not Thieves and Murderers
04.06.2020 LISTEN

I don’t know who told Mr. John Abu Jinapor that he is capable of differentiating between a truth and a lie, because “LIAR” is garishly written all over his face. Unless he can clinically or scientifically prove that each and every Ghanaian citizen suffers from intellectual and psychological blindness, the very notion that “Dumsor,” the perennially erratic power supply during all four-and-half-year tenure of his former boss and paymaster, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, was the most brilliant and beloved achievement of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) could not be at once more preposterous and insulting to the intelligence of the Ghanaian electorate.

The Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency’s Member of Parliament, in the Akufo-Addo-created Savannah Region, had better get something more meaningful and sensible to tell Ghanaian voters in the runup to the 2020 general election than merely ranting foolishly about Ghanaians being, somehow, too daft to recognize the clueless thievishness that was the inescapable hallmark or profile of the double-salary stealing robber-barons that composed the full-suit of the membership of the Mahama cabinet (See “Clueless Gov’t that Won Power through Deceit, Political Jugglery – Abu Jinapor Fires Amin Adam for Accusing Mahama” 6/3/20).

Indeed, it was not for absolutely nothing that not very long ago, a popular young Ghanaian comedian defined the name “Mahama” as the very quintessence of corruption – at the time, yours truly was of the view that the young very talented comedian, who reportedly received sheaves of death threats from the Mahama-salaried National Democratic Congress’ goon squad, ought to have made due exception of the other legion Mahamas in the country who had unquestionably led exemplary and civically responsible and emulative lives. You see, “deception” or “deceit” was when the then-Interim President John Dramani Mahama, in the heat of his 2012 electioneering campaign, looked Ghanaians straight in the eye and promised to retrieve every single pesewa stolen from our National Treasury by Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome, the foremost NDC robber-baron financier.

Need we apprise the Dear Reader about the fact that by the end of the miserable tenure of the Bole-Bamboi native, zilch or absolutely nothing had been retrieved from the kleptocratic Trokosi Nationalist? Even more significant must be highlighted the fact that going into the 2016 general election, the then-Candidate Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo solemnly promised the good and hardworking people of then-President Mahama’s native Gonja Kingdom their own autonomous administrative region and, within just two years of acceding to the Presidency, the native Okyeman royal had achieved just that. Now, who is the clueless leader here? A copycat Little Dramani, on the other hand, had merely given lip service to such promise because this megalomaniacal demagogue had absolutely no clue about how administrative regions were created.

As well, Ghana’s former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice promised to resolve the Dagbon/Yendi Chieftaincy Crisis, the most protracted major chieftaincy crisis of its kind in the country; and guess what? Nana Akufo-Addo did just that without having either schooled in Dagbon, unlike Little Dramani, or speaking a single grammatically correct sentence in Dagomba. In sum, not only are the robber-baron operatives of the National Democratic Congress pathological thieves and murderers – and, on the latter count, the Dear Reader knows precisely what I am talking about – the Mahama Posse is grossly incompetent. You see, Mr. John Abu Jinapor, it was you, and not Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, the current Deputy Energy Minister, who lied through his teeth when caught flatfooted in the AKER Energy Payola Scam-Artistry, you cowardly tucked your tail in-between your hind legs and turned your back on Dr. Kwabena Donkor, the Pru-East MP and your former boss at the Mahama custom-tailored failed Power Ministry.

I am, however, reserving your rhetorical bunk about the Mahama regime’s having laid down sound regulatory measures to govern the efficient management of Ghana’s oil industry for another column in the near future. For now, let it suffice to emphatically observe that the Mahama-led regime of the National Democratic Congress contributed a diddly little to absolutely zilch towards the discovery and management of the country’s oil resources during the 8 protracted years that Little Dramani was comfortably holed up at the Presidency at Jubilee House, other than cutting thievish deals behind closed doors at the expense of the hardworking blue-collar Ghanaian worker. So, what Akufo-Addo Electioneering Deception are you really talking about here, Goro Boy?
