The squiggle eyebrow is trending on the internet worldwide, but has gotten most Ghanaian women angry.

The squiggle eyebrow has been met mostly with negative reactions from Ghana, although, undoubtedly, a few brave women would rock this look.

Promise Tamang is known to be the initiator of this look. She told POPSUGAR, that she tried the squiggle brow after seeing a photo of someone who had photoshopped the style into a picture.

Some social media users cannot deny the creativity exhibited in drawing this eyebrow. They are however, quick to express their disapproval at the same time.

Although, the trend has not gained popularity status in real life in Ghana, they are certainly making waves on social media.

Award-winning celebrity makeup artist, Nancy Blaq rocked the wavy eyebrows and posted it on her Instagram page noting that, albeit the squiggle brows have not come to stay, she is available to work on clients who prefer to rock it.

“... I don’t think this squiggle brows has come to stay but just in incase it does, you know where to get yours stamped abi?

“I hate this new eyebrow trend and I believe it’s going to die out soon. It’s weird and people look like clowns wearing them,” Maame Pokua Amankwah, founder of Steffi’s Makeover, told modernghana.com, in an interview.

For Maame Abena, also a makeup artist and founder of Mayadannielles, the wavy eyebrow is not necessary but believes it will become popular once well-known makeup artists start practicing it.

When asked if she would work on a client who wants the look, she averred, “I will first try and recommend otherwise. If all efforts fail, I will do as the client have requested.”

“This eyebrow trend is cool, just that some make it too cumbersome,” Mrs Erica Goka, CEO of Ricky’s shared a different opinion with modernghana.com.

“It’s supposed to flow with the shape of your natural eyebrows, while looking natural,” she added.

Heartwill Kekle, a young enterprising woman had this to say, “ It is a fashion trend I don’t care for. It will look good in a movie or a stage. Even better on a fashion runway.”

She adds, “for everyday look, it’s a no for me. You can’t be out there looking like you missed Halloween.”

Tiffany Ankrah Badu, just like Maame Abena feels the trend is unnecessary and those who opt for it simply crave for attention.
