Blakk Rasta fire back at Efia, begs Jesus to deliver her from drugs

It’s getting hotter between musician Efya and radio personality cum presenter, Blakk Rasta.

Earlier, the songstress took a swipe at Blakk Rasta for dragging Sarkodie over his collaboration on the legendary Bob Marley's song.

On what described as give-and-take, the controversial radio presenter, reacting to Sarkodie’s recent feature with Bob Marley and the Wailers’ "Stir It Up" remix, said it was a desecration of the legend’s pedigree.

To him, the rapper did nothing other than tarnish the value of the original track with his one-way rap style.

"You urinate right into the grave and walk away, laughing like a madman on heat. It hurt me so much that I decided never to talk about this issue," he said.

"What Sarkodie did was nothing but a desecration of the legacy of Bob Marley. It is so shameful; what Sarkodie did is nothing but a desecration of the holy music...should I go deeper? It is like a king has been buried, and you go and dig him up and steal the first gold and diamonds that he's been buried with," he fumed on his show on Accra-based 3FM.

Countering Blakk Rasta’s assertion, Efya on Accra-based GHOne TV told him to keep quiet because his opinion holds no water.

According to her, the Sarkcess Music CEO has made history and needs to be praised for that act.

"Blakk Rasta’s opinions don’t matter. Will they go back to production based on what he said? What level in music has he reached to have an opinion?" Efya quizzed.

She said, "Sarkodie has made history, and we need to celebrate and honour him."

The astute female vocalist said, "I don’t know who Blakk Rasta is. Is he the radio journalist that does funny music? Journalists say what they want, but Ghanaian musicians don’t care.”

Outraged, the reggae singer took to Twitter with an excerpt from Efya’s interview and wrote: "Sad, what drugs can do to a beautiful soul. Be delivered and healed, in Jesus' name!"
