The Ghanaian economy grew by 7.7 percent last year while the total value of goods and services produced was valued at 46 billion Ghana cedis.

That is according to the revised GDP estimate released by the Ghana Statistical Service for 2010.

Should the 2010 revised national income be distributed amongst the population, each Ghanaian would receive almost 1,907 Ghana cedis or 1,343 US Dollars.

The services sector maintained its dominance as the biggest contributor to GDP.

It was also the fastest growing sector, with 9.8 percent, followed by industry 5.6 and agriculture 5.3.

Meanwhile the statistical service has released figures on the performance of the economy for each quarter from 2006 to the last quarter of last year.
