Executive Council Member of the Ghana FA, George Amoako, has rejected claims that the leadership of the Ghana Football Association solely appointed David Duncan as assistant coach of the Black Stars without the knowledge of his boss CK Akonnor.

According to the Black Stars management committee chairman, the widespread reports are false because the FA did the appointment in consultation with Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based FOX FM, he said: "Let me explain this quickly, the appointment was first made of the head coach, then you rely on the head coach to appoint the assistant coach so we acted that based on the recommendations of the head coach."

The Ghana Football Association, earlier this week announced the technical handlers of the various national teams with for Ghana Captain CK Akonnor and David Duncan heading the Black Stars after the exit for Kwasi Appiah.
