Ghana’s Lameck Bagerbaseh will face his fellow compatriot Yakubu Abubakari Lea in the boy’s 14 and under finals at the ongoing 2020 ITF/CAT West and Central Africa Junior Championship being held at the Omnisports Lomé- Togo.

Top seed Yakubu Abubakari Lea produced a powerful performance to beat another Nigerian; Mubarak Ayodeji Ganiyu 6-4,4-6,6-3. While Tourney No. 2 seed Lameck Bagerbaseh defeated Nigeria’s Mohammed Idris 2-6,6-4,6-3.

Elsewhere in the boy’s 16 and under Richard Okine and Ishmael Nii Nortey Dowuona have advanced into semifinals after ousting Cameroonian Boris Ekani Essono and Nsahno Ndonfack 6-0,6-2.

In the boy’s 14 and under doubles: Ghana’s pair Lameck Bagerbaseh and Raphael Nii Ankrah will face Nigerian duo Mubarak Ayodeji Ganiyu and Joshua Maxwell in the quarterfinals whiles Ghana’s Abubakari Yakubu Lea paired with Eytan Miessem from Congo will also face Rodriguez Beni Gandonou from Benin and Mohammed Idris from Nigeria

In the girls 16 and under: Ghanaian duo Sekina Adam and Yayrah Adjo Komashie partnered and defeated Burkina Faso duo Annabella Bama and Kadydja Goro 6-1,6-2. Sekina and Komashie will now battle it against Nigeria’s Marylove Edwards and Bohoussou Blanche Lili-Be Minet From Ivory Coast.
