Veteran Ghanaian attacker, Asamoah Gyan showed impressive form on Thursday afternoon as he scored four times to inspire his NorthEast United side to an 11-1 win over FC Gorkha in a friendly encounter.
The Black Stars striker was handed another starting role for his new side today when they engaged in a warm-up game ahead of the return of the Indian Super League following the end of the International break.
In a game that appeared one-sided, Asamoah Gyan took full advantage to test his goal-scoring boots and found the back of the net four times. His first goal of the day came just 15 minutes into the first half before.
A hat-trick of goals later in the half was the main factor that resulted in a huge 11-1 win for NorthEast United against FC Gorkha at the end of the 90 minutes.
With all of the former Sunderland striker’s goals coming in the first half, he was substituted at the break to have a rest ahead of the club’s next match against Mumbai City in the Indian Super League on November 27.
