OCT 4, 2019 LISTEN

Kenyan forward Mwanahalima Adam has expressed optimism in the side’s abilities to beat Ghana today when the two teams lock horns at the Accra Sports Stadium for the first leg of the fourth round of the qualifiers to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

The Black Queens after emphatically dispatching Gabon in the third qualifying round is now faced with the test of the Harambee Starlets who outplayed Malawi in the last round.

Whiles the two teams are no strangers when it comes to engaging in crucial matches of this nature, striker Mwanahalima Adam insists Kenya is going into today’s encounter with the sole focus on emerging victorious.

In an interview prior to the team’s arrival in Ghana earlier this week, the prolific goal scorer shared, “We have met several times, so we know each other well. They are a strong side, but we will be going for a win”.

The attacker netted twice to inspire Kenya to a 5-3 aggregate win in the last round and will be hoping to score more when her side go head to head with Ghana this afternoon.

The match will be played at 15:30GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
