OCT 4, 2019 LISTEN

Black Meteors skipper, Yaw Yeboah, has reiterated that they are ready to play any side in the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Ghana are in Group A alongside Egypt, the host nation, Mali, as well as Cameroon.

According to the pacy forward, they are not afraid of any country and they will go to Egypt and make Ghanaians happy by qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

“It is a good group for me and is tough as well, we don’t use names or countries to play football anymore. We are ready mentally and physically and we hope everything goes well.” Yeboah told Ghanacrusader.com

“We are facing host nation Egypt, Mali who are a giant in Africa currently in youth football and Cameroon are also strong. We are ready, and me personally, I am not scared of any team in the group. Is the best group for us. We are going to do our best and make sure we qualify.”

“I have also spoken to my colleagues on phone recently and everyone is ready. The fact that people are talking that the group is difficult even makes us stronger so that we can prove to the world what we can do. We will come to Ghana in few weeks and start preparations for the tournament.”

The Celta Vigo forward also tasked each and everyone to rally behind them as they seek to qualify for the Olympic Games for the first time in fifteen years.

“We also expect Ghanaians to support us, we need their prayers as well and we will continue to make each and everyone proud,” he added.
