Football News Mahatma Otto Shockingly Part Ways With Balikesirspor

Ghanaian international, Mahatma Otoo has terminated his contract with the Turkish second-tier side Balikesirspor on mutual grounds.

The 27-year-old announced his departure from the Red and White lads on Thursday morning due to FIFA provisions which comply him to cancel his contract with the Turkish second-tier side.

According to reports, Balikesirspor is currently battling with their financial status as a football which has resulted in the exit of the former Hearts of Oak striker and other top stars of the club.

However, the President of the club Mustafa Bahçeci has also resigned from his position.

“Difficult but bold decision,” he wrote on his official Facebook account.

“For the very first time in my career, I had to rely on FIFA provisions to cancel my professional contract effective 13th May 19, for obvious reasons.

“Sincerest gratitude to BALIKESIRSPOR for the opportunity they offered, and my numerous fans in Balikesir and elsewhere.

“The future belongs to those who have the strong ability to ignore distractions, and stay the course with perseverance.

"Just learned of the resignation of club President Mustafa Bahçeci. Wishing him all the best in his endeavours. Still the Don cheers,”

Otoo scored four goals with five assists in his 30 appearances for Balikesirspor during his stay.
