Accra Hearts of Oak are still top of the Premier B table of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition despite playing a disappointing goalless draw with Liberty Professionals.
The ‘Greater Accra Derby’ lived up to expectations with some end to end action, high intensive football, physical battles as well as a red card that did not have any significant impact on the results of the match.
Dansoman based Liberty Professionals had to play the bigger part of the match with 10 men but managed it quite well as they held the Phobians to a goalless draw.
The result which obviously is not one that the home side will be happy about sees them in danger of being overtaken at the top particularly when two teams are in hot pursuit for the top spot.
Both Karela United and West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) are within a point distance of the leaders and might overtake them results from their weekend match do not go their way.
Karela and WAFA will battle it out at the CAM Park whiles Ebusua Dwarfs welcome Hearts to the Central Region. The division could see some massive shake up the standings depending on how matches pan out after the match day.
