Ghanaian top referee Daniel Laryea has been selected to be the center referee for the CS Sfaxien and Viper Sports Club CAF Confederations Cup second leg match this weekend.

The first leg of the tie was played last weekend as both sides shared the spoils at the end of the 90 minutes. With that results, the Tunisian side, CS Sfaxien will have home advantage in the second leg and will be hoping to win the fixture to book qualification to the next round of the competition.

32-year-old Daniel Laryea started his international career in 2014 and have been on the ascendancy as far as progression is concerned. In the midst of corruption allegations against referees in the country, it appears CAF still considers him amongst top referees on the continent and he has been appointed to officiate that crucial game.

The Ghanaian referee will be assisted by Nigerians Abel Baba and Samuel Pwadutakam as the assistant referees.

The match will be played on Sunday, January 20 at the Taieb Mhiri Stadium in Sfax, Tunisia. Both sides will have it all to play for when they step unto the pitch this weekend.
