Football News George Afriyie Will Win GFA Presidency Hands Down If ... - Abdul Salam
JAN 11, 2019 LISTEN

Controversial football administrator, Abdul Salam Yakubu claims George Afriyie will win the 2019 Ghana Football Association presidential elections ‘hands down’ if elections are conducted today.

Fred Pappoe, Kurt Okraku, Kudjoe Fianoo and Tema Youth’s bankroller Winfred Osei Kwaku Palma have all expressed their interest in occupying the seat.

The New Edubiase bankroller believes despite all the personalities that have expressed their interest in the seat, the Liberty Professionals director of football and Okyeman Planners owner stands tall due to his role in helping the growth of the game in the country.

“George Akwasi Afriyie is ahead of all persons who have popped up for the GFA Presidential race,” he told Germany-based Topical Radio.

Abdul Salam further insisted the fact that the former Ghana FA vice president is not making noise and making donations does not mean he’s asleep and doing nothing momentous to ensure he occupies the vacant Ghana FA top seat.

"The fact that he’s not talking on the radio or making donations does not mean he is not working. He will come out at the right time.

"What is written is written. When the elections are conducted today, George will win hands down to come and continue the good works of Kwesi Nyantakyi," he added.
