Steve Pollack Bids Asante Kotoko Farewell In The Future

Former Asante Kotoko trainer, Steve Pollack has sent a farewell message to his former employers.

The former Berekum Chelsea coach was shown the exit door 24hours later after failing to qualify the team for the next round of the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup.

CARA Brazzaville crashed out the Porcupine Warriors out of the CAF interclub competition losing 6:7 on penalties in the second league in Congo.

Paa Kwesi Fabin has been appointed by Dr Kyei's led administration to replace the English trainer.

"First of all, I will like to thank Asante Kotoko for giving me this opportunity to coach this great club and I am grateful to the supporters.

"It was a great pleasure and honour to be with this club. There have been a lot of propaganda remarks labelled against Kotoko but our good brother Bob Marley said propaganda spreading over our names because they want to bring another life to shame but I know our supporters and other people out there are intelligent people and they will know the difference between the lie and the truth.

"As you may appreciate, it is sad to be leaving because I had a lovely time here working with the players, the technical team, the medical staffs and all the office workers. I thank all of you and I thank the life patron who is the owner of the club and the king of the Ashanti Region [Nana Osei Tutu II].

"I also thank the supporters who have been supporting me from day one and after the incident you all that have been praying for me, I thank you all.

"As you know, in football you lose some and you win some. Our players and staffs put all the effort together for us to be winners after the incident we sustained and one of our finest moment which was a success was winning the MTN FA Cup and the President Cup over our rivals, Hearts of Oak.

"I know the team will grow from strength to strength as they have been playing well lately and I will like to thank the faithful supporters for their support and will urge them to get behind the team and the new technical staff as they did when I was there.

"So, therefore, I wish you all and the new coach the very best in the future," he added.

Pollack finished the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League season in the 5th position with 43 points.
