The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA has suspended New Edubiase shot stopper George Arthur for three (3) matches and has been warned to be of good behavior after being charged for a misconduct in their GN Bank Division One League match against Samartex played in Samreboi.

The former Asante Kotoko goalie will therefore miss week 7, 8 and 9 matches involving Wassaman, King Faisal and Nzema Kotoko respectively.

According to the Disciplinary Committee, Arthur refused to walk out of the pitch when he was shown a red card for deliberately stopping a goal scoring opportunity and created a scene for five minutes before being marched out.

The goalkeeper initially pleaded not guilty with misconduct charge leveled against him but later changed his decision and pleaded for leniency after accepting he was guilty.

This decision will be a big blow to the struggling former Ghana Premier League campaigners as they are already experiencing a difficult Division One League campaign.
