T.P Mazembe came from a goal down to wallop Medeama SC by three goals to one on Sunday in their first group A CAF Confederation Cup game in Lubumbashi, DR Congo.
The hero of the day was Rainford Kalaba, who bagged two goals, with Coulibaly scoring a goal for T.P Mazembe, while Medeama's only goal came from the foot of Malik Akowuah.
Medeama seemed to have started their group stage campaign on a good note, after Malik Akowuah's blaster put their noses in front, but the hosts responded positively when Rainford Kalaba, the Zambian restored parity for T.P Mazembe.
T.P Mazembe put the Medeama goal area under siege with incessant pressure and Muntari Tagoe came to the rescue of the Tarkwa based side by making several saves to keep them in the game.
However, Medeama could no longer contain the pressure from the Congolese giants as Coulibaly, the tall Malian defender headed in the second goal from Solomon Asante's free kick on the stroke of half time to give the 4 times champions of Africa a 2-1 lead.
And Rainford Kalaba scored a stunner in the second half to put the game beyond the reach of the visitors.
