Former Berekum Chelsea coach Hans Van der Pluijm has won the Tanzanian Premier League with Young Africans with two matches to spare.
This was after they beat Police Morogoro 4-1 on Monday to open a ten-point lead after 24 rounds of matches.
Their challengers Azam FC have played a game less and on 45 points.
“I am very happy that we have won the title with some games yet to be played. The boys have worked hard,” Pluijm said.
The win was also a big boost for the team ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup return leg against Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel later this weekend in Tunis.
