Ghana's African clubs representatives will tackle the first leg one-eighth battles in their respective competitions this weekend.

As if by design, the two Confederation Cup participants — King Faisal and Liberty Professionals — will play at home first while just like Accra Hearts of Oak who are also billed to honour their Champions League encounter first at the national stadium on Sunday.

The odd one out is Kumasi Asante Kotoko who travel to Algeria today to battle USM Alger on Friday.

At the Accra Stadium on Sunday, Hearts welcome Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia.

King Faisal will play host to Santos of South Africa in their Confederation Cup clash at the Kumasi Stadium on Sunday.However, Liberty Professionals are expected to start the crusade on Saturday when they meet another Tunisia side, Stade Tunisien also at the Accra Stadium.The return legs come off in two weeks time.
