GNA

Cape Coast, April 25, GNA - The Bantamweight professional boxing tournament between Nana Benya Bee of Cape Coast and Samuel Addoteye of Accra was declared a technical draw at Cape Coast on Saturday. The sole referee judge, Shadrack Acquaye ended the fight mid way in the fifth round when Benya Bee sustained a deep cut on his forehead when he crashed with his opponent.

Sole referee judge Acquaye had to declare the fight a technical draw because at the time of the incident each boxer had scored 39 points each.

He said the incident happened when both boxers dodged below the belt level and crashed.
