Medeama make it to next round in Confederation Cup

Medeama set up a 1/16th match with Morocco's MAS after completing back-to-back wins in the preliminary round in the Confederation Cup.

The Ghanaian FA Cup holders defeated Panthers of Equatorial Guinea 2-0 on Sunday in Essipong to complete a 4-1 aggregate victory after winning the first leg 2-1 in Malabo last week.

Kwame Boahene scored the opener in the first half before Godbless Asamoah doubled their lead after recess to hand them victory.

Medeama, making their continental debut will now host MAS in the first leg fixture on March 2.
