Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah might have to plan for his return trip to Egypt without John Boye as the defender has close to six weeks to return to full scale training.
The 26-year-old pulled out of the Ghana squad with a leg injury and has undergone surgery.
GHANAsoccernet.com checks have revealed the enterprising center-back will need up to six weeks to recover fully from his injury.
With the Black Stars set for their second-leg tie against the Pharaohs on November 19, the former Heart of Lions man is effectively ruled out of the game.
“I don't think I can play in the second leg because I still have a month and two weeks to recover from the injury,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com
However, Evian TG's Jonathan Mensah has returned to training and he will be available for the second leg next month.
Kwesi Appiah replaced Boye with South African-based Edwin Gyimah.
