Black Stars enforcer Agyemang Badu has heaped tons of praise on Coach Akwasi Appiah for the 7-0 mauling of the Crocodiles of Lesotho in a World Cup qualifier played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Stars played with style and were ruthless in front of goal reducing their opponents to mere spectators on the field.
As many as five players, including a defender, scored to underline a superb free flowing team performance much to the delight of the Kumasi fans who were nearly heartbroken with events off the field.
The floodlights at the Stadium went off in the second half for over an hour, at a time the Stars were leading by 4-0.
When the lights came back the Stars topped up their goal harvest with three more to complete the 7-0 thriller against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.
Even though, he did not score, Agyemang Badu was elated with the total team performance.
He told journalists the coach must be given all the credits for the results.
“It is the coach,” Badu replied to a pointed question asked by Joy Sports' Ridwan Ibrahim Asante “If there was anything beautiful about this victory what was it?”
“As you can we did not allow them to play their game. We were playing our normal game. We were well concentrated; we love each other and we did the game for the coach,” he added.
He said the team will adopt a similar game plan against Zambia eight days later in another World Cup qualifier in Lusaka.
He said the team is well focused against Zambia who are currently African champions.
