The Deputy head of Sports, Ghana Television (GTV) Mr. George Lomotey says his outfit is committed to going the extra mile regarding live sporting telecast in the years ahead.
Speaking to this writer in a phone interview yesterday, he noted that: “We have purposed to bring to our numerous viewers sporting programs that are held outside the country close to them by way of live telecast.”
Mr. Lomotey added that: “A classical example was the live telecast of the FIFA World Football of the year awards we telecast live last Monday, not forgetting the live telecast of the FIFA 2010 World Cup draw, viewers should expect more of such from GTV.”
According to the deputy GTV head of sports, the move forms part of his outfit's commitment to achieving a paradigm shift in sports broadcast in the country.
