AMAMOO HAS A SOFT HEART Black Stars goalkeeper William Amamoo has donated US$ 6,000 to a Ghanaian woman in an Egyptian hospital requiring heart surgery.

The 26-year-old safest-pair of hands also paid for her air ticket to Romania for the operation on Thursday at the Trgu Muref Hospital in Napoca.

This happens to be the second donation made after a US$ 10,000 package to former Ghana international Ibrahim Dossey who is in seroius health conditions.

"I was at the hospital and was touched by this woman who comes from my country.I understand she needs help so I decided to do it," Amamoo told Ghanasoccernet.com

" The doctors said she needed 4,000 euros for the operation and so this is what I can do.

" Romania has the best hospital for the heart so I thought it wise to take here there."

Amamoo was voted the 2007 best goalkeeper in the Romanian Liga II with Liberty Salonta after keeping a clean sheet in 28 matches.

He is currently on loan at Egyptian Premier League side Etesalat after signing two-years with English Championship side Coventry City.
