STARS PUT A SMILE ON THEIR FACE The Black Stars fraternized with pupils from the Sekondi School for the Deaf on Thursday night at the team's camp in Takoradi.

The 22-man squad had an interaction with 50 pupils who had a burning desire to meet the country's top players.

The event was put together by the Black Stars title sponsors, GoldFields Ghana Limited as part of its social responsibility programme.

"The thrust of the sponsorship is to enhance the passion of Ghanaians which is the Black Stars and this is no exception," public affairs manager of GoldFields Ghana, Gerald Osei-Boakye, told Ghanasoccernet.com

"For this under-privileged in society who otherwise would not have the opportunity of meeting the star players.

"This event has drawn them closer to their heroes.

"The slogan of the sponsorship is living the dream: This evening has given these kids the opportunity to live their dreams of meeting gallant heroes."

The Black Stars must win on Saturday at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi to qualify to next qualifying of the 2010 World Cup.
