Bechem Chelsea FC on Sunday spanked Soccer Warriors 7-1 in the Zone One encounter of the Division One Middle League played at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Chelsea FC shot into the lead in the 10th minute through Isaac Oduro who converted a spot kick before scoring the second goal in the 14th minute.
Gingered by the early goals, the Bechem lads attacked in droves and succeeded in scoring the third goal in the 31st minute when Richard Atikah rose above the defence of Warriors to connect home an in-swinger from Oduro.
In the second half, Chelsea again reorganized their midfield and pushed more men forward which paid off for them when John Cudjoe blasted home a shot in the 69th minute in a goalmouth scramble to score the fourth goal.
Warriors however reacted swiftly belatedly by pulling one goal back in the 73rd minute through Mohammed Kamil.
The Bechem lads stepped up their game and came up with three more goals scored by Awudu Abubakar, Oduro and Musah Moh in the 75th, 78th and 88th minutes respectively to seal the doom of Warriors.
At the Prempeh College Park, B.A. United also thrashed Upper Stars 4-0 in another Zone One Middle League encounter.
