Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil set to join MLS side LA Galaxy - Reports

Ghana winger, Joseph Paintsil is on the verge of joining Major League Soccer side, LA Galaxy from Belgian side KRC Genk.

According to the reports, Major League Soccer (MLS) side LA Galaxy has offered a four-year deal worth eight million euros to sign Paintsil from Genk.

This potential move would see the 26-year-old winger moving to the United States and likely doubling his current salary.

If the transfer is finalized, Paintsil could become a "Designated Player" for LA Galaxy, which would place him among the select few players not counted towards the team's salary cap in the league.

Paintsil's performance at the 2023 AFCON in Cote d'Ivoire was notable, despite Ghana's early exit from the tournament in the first round.

In the current season, he has contributed six goals and four assists in 23 league games, building on his impressive record of 14 goals and 14 assists in 30 league appearances during the 2022-2023 season.
