MATCH REPORTS: Asante Kotoko beat FC Samartex in Samreboi to return to winning ways

Goals from Enoch Morrison and Rocky Dwamena in the first half propelled Asante Kotoko to record a 2-1 win over FC Samartex 1996 on Saturday.

In the matchday 22 games, the Porcupine Warriors travelled to the Nsenkyire Park without their head coach, Seydou Zerbo.

Enoch Morrison scored to put the visitors in front at the 18th-minute mark for the Reds.

Kotoko increased their tally through young sensation Rocky Dwamena- who scored to silence the home fans.

In the second half, the Porcupine Warriors returned with a piece of immediate sad news after second goal scorer Rocky Dwamena had to leave the pitch after a reckless challenge on him.

The home side subsequently won themselves a free kick, which Keyekeh crafted in a decent one but was tipped off by Asare to a wasted corner kick.

Samartex managed to get a goal for themselves in the 90th minute through Ebenezer Acquah who scored to reduce the deficit.

Asante Kotoko have now jumped to the third position with 34 points.
