Real Tamale United (RTU) finished the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season on a high with a big 4-1 win against giants Hearts of Oak.
The team from Tamale last season secured promotion from the National Division One League to play in the Premier League this season.
In a historic campaign in the Ghana Premier League, RTU have successfully escaped relegation and will play another season in the top-flight league next season.
Today, the team locked horns wit Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in the final match of the 2021/22 football season.
Although Suraj Seidu opened the scoring for the Phobians in the first 10 minutes of the game, RTU recovered to put the hosts to the sword.
A brace from Frimpong, a goal from poster boy David Abagna, and an own goal from Mohammed Alhassan propelled RTU to the comeback win against Hearts of Oak on the final day of the season.
Today’s defeat means that Hearts of Oak failed to finish in the top four of the Ghana Premier League after winning the league title last season.
