A member of the 2021 Presidential Commission of Inquiry, Christopher Nimley, has slammed president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Okraku over his alleged involvement in the selection of players for the Black Stars.

His comments come after Milovan Rajevac was sacked on Thursday after a poor showing at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

“I am of the view that people who run football clubs in this country should not be people who are owning football clubs and managing players,” Nimley told Accra based Asaase Radio.

“They should tell Kurt Okraku that the interview he granted Joy News when he sat in that chair on national television and told the whole country that he Kurt Okraku is not a technical man, he knows nothing, I repeat absolutely nothing when it comes to coaching when it comes to technicalities.

“So, he should be bold enough to come back and apologise to the people of this country and say henceforth I wash my hands off player selections. We are talking about the Black Stars, it is rotten at the juvenile level,” he added.

The Ghana Football Association are currently on a hunt for a new coach ahead of the 2022 Fifa World Cup playoffs against Nigeria in March.
