The Handball Association of Ghana in conjunction with the French Embassy would organise the fourth Franco-Ghanaian National Handball Championships at the Prisons Sports Complex from 2nd to 3rd November, 2001.
A statement signed by Mr Saka Acquaye, General Secretary of the Association, said this year's championship would afford coaches of competing teams the opportunity to undergo a course, which would be facilitated by an expert from France.
The statement named participating teams as Trotters from Tamale, Swedru Alpha Club, Kpando Young Hands, HOSTAC of Kaneshie and the male and female teams of the University of Ghana, Legon and the University College of Education, Winneba respectively.
Also competing are the Ghana Prisons Service, the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana National Fire Service and the Navy, champions of the Ghana Armed Forces.
The statement said participating clubs from the regions are expected to arrive at the Accra Sports Stadium by 3:00 pm on Thursday November 1.
