Former member of the Black Stars management Committee, Yaw Boateng Gyan has alleged that defender Evans Andrew Appau has been dropped from the Ghana U-20 team for deciding to join Asante Kotoko instead of Dreams FC.

Last week, the Porcupine Warriors club announced the signing of the youngster from Bofoakwa Tano on a 4-year deal to give their squad a massive boost ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 football season.

According to Yaw Boateng Gyan who is Chairman of Bofoakwa Tano, Evans Appau was wanted by Dreams FC and threatened by an official a management member of the U-20 team to sign for the side or risk being dropped.

After going ahead to join Asante Kotoko, the former Black Stars management member has noted that the player has been ousted from the team.

Sharing his outrage in an interview with Accra-based Angel FM, Yaw Boateng Gyan has disclosed that there is recording evidence and the official involved will be taken on.
