Kweku Blessing, the manager of defender Empem Dacosta has disclosed today that the player is no longer with Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
This follows several reports by Modernghana Sports in the last 24 hours which has explained that the defender has been deemed surplus to requirement by the head coach of the Porcupine Warriors, Maxwell Konadu.
Earlier today, Pure FM reported that the CEO of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah held talks with Kweku Blessing over the possibility of sending Empem Dacosta on loan instead of straight away terminating his contract.
Following failed talks, the two parties have agreed to go their separate ways ahead of the next football season.
“I am saying it through this medium that, Empem Dacosta is no more an Asante Kotoko player. We've solved everything this afternoon when we met Kotoko at the club's secretariat”, the player’s manager told Pure FM after the meeting with the Kotoko CEO.
He added, "We appreciate what the club has done for us”.
He further revealed that two clubs including Asante Gold SC are in talks to sign Empem Dacosta in the ongoing transfer window.
