Former Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong has implored President Akufo-Addo to temporarily lift the ban on the country’s borders.

The defender left the shores of the country to join Guinea side AS Kaloum Stars.

All of Ghana’s borders have been closed since March 22, 2020, as part of the measures to control the spread of coronavirus.

According to him, he has been affected by the decision as he is stuck in a foreign country amid the pandemic.

“I will appeal to Nana to allow those of us who wish to come home to come, at least we can be tested or Quarantined for the 14 day period, if he lifts the ban on travel, many Ghanaians will be able to return home," he told Asempa FM.

Ghana has recorded 3,091 cases with 303 recoveries whiles 18 deaths have been recorded.
