Aim of the CILT Africa Forum
The aim of the Forum is provides a platform for governments, corporate organizations, individuals and students to share, learn and promote professional and business interests.

The Forum will equally address its challenges for governments and businesses.

According to Mr. Ebo Hammond, president of CILT, Ghana, the forum is a major continental event for CILT, organized annually and rotated among the Africa member countries.

Touching on the theme, he said, the theme "AfCFTA" would serve as a new engine of growth across the continent and logistics, transport and industry in general, having a major role to play in its success and sustainability.

Adding that, the theme was chosen to usher Ghana and other African countries into what has been described as a 'Game Changer.

"The theme for this forum is carefully chosen and this year practically ushers

Ghana and other African countries into what has been described as a 'Game-

Changer'. It is our hope that the focus on the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) further bring to the fore the opportunities inherent in the AfCFTA", he said.

He said, the (AfCFTA)  when fully up and running will be the world's largest free trade area by number of countries (55 nations), by number of population (1.2 billion) and gross domestic product ($2.3 trillion, 2017), which rightly described by International Monetary Fund (IMF) as a Game-Changer for the continent, which has a low intra-regional trade of about 16% (2017) of international export trade.
