The War Of Words

Every day, words are at war in this world
The words of evil men versus the words of good men
The words of those who want you to learn and gain
Versus the words of those who want you to feel pain and shame

The words of those who want you to rise, stand and walk tall

Versus the words of those who want you to stumble and fall

The words of those who want to give goodness a smooth flow

Versus the words of those whose answer to goodness is a big No

Every day, everywhere we go, words are at war in this world

The words of your true friends versus the words of your real enemies

The words of your friends are made to bring you joy and happiness

While the words of your enemies are meant to make you toil in bitterness

Reality of mankind is a consequence of the war of good and bad words

Man, as he walk up and down, he is an encasement of good or bad words

His heart and mind, are conduits and reservoirs of good or bad words

When given a chance, whether they are good or bad, he will release those words

Because of good words, some people have been loved and praised

Because of bad words, some people have been hated and bruised

Because of good words, some people have been hugged and kissed

Because of bad words, some people have been tramped and kicked

Everywhere we go, love and hate, are both extremes governed by words

Because of the power of words, some people are happy and some are sad

Because of the power of words, some people are alive and some are dead

Because of the power of words, some people are sober and yet some are mad
