SEP 18, 2019 LISTEN

President of Coalition of Concerned National Builder's Corps (NABCO), Mabel Segbefia on behalf of the trainees has commended management of the programme for the initiative to support the less privileged in some communities in the county.

According to her, the sense and art of giving back to society is one that Ghanaians need to learn and practice.

In an official release cited by ModernGhana, the Mabel Segbefia in a communique said, "We thank Nation Builder's Corps for their sense of Community Service. The directive on Trainees by Management to pay *10cedis* for the pending one year NABCO anniversary to charity is plausible."

A year ago, the NABCO programme was introduced to employ the youth in various fields. The programme successfully employed over five hundred thousand people and are spread across the length as well as breath of the country.

The President however sent a strong warning to scammers who through dubious means are tarnishing to image of the project to be careful.

Below is a copy of the release:

OFFICIAL RELEASE

18/9/2019

COALITION OF CONCERNED NABCO TRAINEES

We Applaud the NABCO Secretariat

The Coalition of Concerned Nabco Trainees by this communique wishes to send our heartfelt gratitude to the management of the Nation Builder's Corps for their sense of Community Service. The directive on Trainees by Management to pay *10cedis* for the pending one year NABCO anniversary to be made to charity is plausible.

Reference is made to a message dispatched to Trainees on Tuesday 17/08/2019 which read that: "In order to give back to our communities, trainees are to make a contribution of GHS10.00 ONLY. GHS5.00 for a local charity and GHS5.00 for national charity for the Anniversary. Staff from National to District are to contribute GHS100 each. Payment to be made at your districts before the end of Sept. 2019".

The Coalition Welcomes the decision of management to give back to society. The sense and art of giving back to society is one that we need to cultivate as the future leaders of this country

We must know that most of the nations we call great today, are great as a result of the willingness of their people to give back to society. As trainees, we have been paid 700gh for the last 10 months and we as an association think the 10gh is a negligible amount to give back to SOCIETY. We acknowledge the payment irregularities which existed before now but we also acknowledge the fact that Nabco is up to date with their payment of Stipends with few exceptions of people caught up with issues of hotcards and defunct banks.

The Coalition applauds the leadership of NABCO for such a laudable initiative. As a coalition, we are committed to the welfare of our trainees and we encourage all Nation Builder's to make their contributions towards this laudable initiative by the Secretariat. We have the greatest task of leading this Nation in the nearest future. We are equally excited to know that NOT ONLY trainees are being asked to do this but all the staff of Nabco. We wish to re assure the National Secretariat of our unflinching support to this generous course. It is said that when you are willing to share the little that you have, only then does God send down more blessings your way. This SOCIETY made us and we are ready to GIVE BACK to society any day. The Coalition, therefore, advises all Nabco Trainees to pay the 10gh for a worthy course.

Finally, the Coalition wishes to send a strong WARNING to all those Scammers who think they can take advantage of this worthy course to make money that we are on the watch for them. We also advise our members to pay the monies to the right authorities and not to fall victims to any form of Scam. Let's be guided by our KPIs.

We'll also like to encourage the Secretariat to be transparent and accountable in the collection of these monies.

We are Nation Builders.

Signed ........

The President

Mabel Segbefia
