Artisan falls from fourth floor of Tamale Teaching Hospital

Tamale, Jan. 19, GNA - Mr Alhassan Osmanu, an artisan from Otis Company in Accra working to install a lift at the Tamale Teaching Hospital on Thursday fell from the fourth floor of the Hospital to the ground sustaining serious injuries on his head and fracturing the thigh. He was immediately rushed to the Surgical Ward of the Hospital where doctors and nurses worked relentlessly to save his life. The GNA could not talk to any of the officials as all attention was on the victim but a nurse member of the team attending to Osmanu, said the victim sustained serious injuries on the head and the thigh. A co-worker of Osmanu who gave his name only as Kweku, told the GNA that his colleague had mounted a scaffolding to chisel the wall for the installation of the lift when he accidentally fell off and crashed to the ground.

Only last two weeks, 36-year-old John Awampa, a revenue collector of the Saboba District Assembly, jumped from the third floor of the Hospital and crashed to his death.
