The Great Eternal Harvest International Ministry (GETHIM) located at Daaban, a suburb of Kumasi has marked its 16th Anniversary under the theme, "A year of God’s promotion."

At a grand ceremony held at the church’s auditorium to mark the event, pioneer members of the church were recognised for their dedication and unflinching support over the years.

Rev. Richmond Cobbina, a pioneer member of the church, was inducted as an Associate Pastor.

Present to grace the occasion and to cut the anniversary cake were a host of church leaders and renowned men of God including Archbishop Prof. Oheneba Agyei Mensah, International Presiding Archbishop and Administrative Moderator of International Ministerial Council of Europe (IMCOE).

Prof Mensah was also the guest speaker for the event.

Delivering his address, the founder and leader of the GETHIM, Archbishop Prof. Dr. Asafo-Agyei Anane Frempong, expressed joy for the church.

He said the church, which started from a humble beginning, is growing from strength to strength.

He said the theme for the 16th anniversary was fitting because it marks the year the church has chosen to honour loyal and hardworking members of the Ministry.

The services of these hardworking men of God, he said, represented the highest call the Lord has given to every member.

Archbishop Prof. Dr. Asafo-Agyei Anane Frempong urged members recognized on the day to avoid complacency but continue to promote the work of the Lord.

Guest speaker, Archbishop Prof. Oheneba Agyei Mensah in his address observed the awardees were members who have been committed to the church from the beginning.

He urged the gathering to stay committed towards the work of God as a genuine church member will not only earn a reward on earth but in heaven as well.

GETHIM was founded by Archbishop Professor Dr. Asafo-Agyei Anane Frimpong, Chief Executive Officer of Asafo-Agyei Hospital, which is renowned for the treatment of piles.

The need to accommodate more worshippers in a permanent edifice was quickly evident, and a new building was proposed and constructed for the church in March 2005.

GETHIM now has a seating capacity of 2000.

The church has three major training models, central to fulfilling its mission: Medical Missions, Training Missions and School of Ministry.

GETHIM is also made up of many ministries including Men and Women fellowship, Choir fellowship, Youth fellowship and Childrens’ fellowship.

Through these ministries, the church focuses on expanding its vision of evangelism in Ghana and beyond.
