Jobless Man Remanded Over Anal Sex With a Boy, 6

A 20-year old jobless man has been remanded into Police custody by an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly having anal sex with a six-year old boy at Dansoman.

Solomon Brown, charged with defilement of a male child under 16 years, pleaded not guilty.

The court presided over by Mrs Ruby Naa Adjeley Quaison was informed by the Prosecution that Brown had absconded in a similar offence of which there was a bench warrant for his arrest in the same court.

According to prosecution, the accused was on the Police Wanted List until he got himself entangled in this fresh offence.

Brown is expected to reappear on January 18.

The Prosecution led by Sergeant Opoku Aniagyei, who was holding the brief of Chief Inspector Kofi Atimbire, said the complainant is a trader and mother of the victim and dwells at Banana Inn, near Dansoman.

Prosecution said Brown resides at Zammarama Line, near Dansoman also in Accra.

He said on January 2, this year, the victim was standing in front of his house when he saw the accused person who was then visiting a friend.

According to Prosecution, Brown called unto the victim and lured him into a Mechanic Shop at Manbruk Mango Down in Dansoman, hid the victim in the corner of the shop and had anal sex with him.

Prosecution said Abeka Isaac, a witness in the case, who saw the accused person in the act with the victim then apprehended Brown to the Dansoman Police Station.

He said when the complainant was informed, she also reported the matter to the Police at Dansoman and a medical report form was issued to her to seek medical assistance for the victim.
