My "Fellow Ghanaians" - Sen. John McCain's Tribute To Ghana, Africa And The Middle East

Feature Article Late Senator John McCain
AUG 28, 2018 LISTEN
Late Senator John McCain

How I wish my "Fellow Ghanaians" will pay heed to Senator McCain's final beautiful words whenever they - "Fellow Americans" and or other so-called helpers - come knocking at our doors to help liberate us from poverty and or from so-called oppressors' rule and perhaps even with a $ 2 Billion Bauxite trade-off for infrastructure.

By the usage of "Fellow Ghanaians", I do not intend to cause harm to other people of the world just for the satisfaction of my own egoistic, call it negative patriotic ideals similarly to what was portrayed in McCain's farewell speech.

Instead, it is intended to tell all current leaders to rethink through the military deal about which H.E Nana Addo Dankwah, the president of the Republic of Ghana used gigantic phrases to agree to its fruition, the ongoing $2 billion bauxite deal and even the substitution of your citizen's basic Maslow pyramidal need - Bread, Butter, Shelter et al for a National Cathedral when a majority of my Fellow Ghanaians are already getting fed up with the outrageous number of churches in Ghana, the constant noise/fear-mongering, the fetish displays, the "God is good" explanations and the constant cautioning of Christians to shut up when the whereabouts of tax payers' money cannot be traced and finally when so many other tourists sites are not being well taken care of.

My Fellow Ghanaians, I really wish our future leaders would also pay heed to McCain's advice whenever a proposal is presented to you.

Fellow Ghanaians, I do not wish to waste your time reading a long speech. I'd rather leave you with these two sentences McCain left for you, for Africa and for all other countries in the Middle East which he and his "Fellow Americans" tried and or are trying so hard to liberate:

"We have helped liberate more people from tyranny and poverty than ever before in history. We have acquired great wealth and power in the process" - John McCain, Final Farewell 2018
