Blay Has Shown That Our Democracy Has Been Hijacked By Thieves And Corrupt Leaders –Top Ghanaian Engineer Claims

Dr Fred McBagonluri, the Provost and president of Academic City College has expressed outrage at the conduct of the newly elected Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay.

In a Facebook post, the accomplished engineer and author stated that Mr Blay had demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that Ghana's governance structure has been taken over by corrupt leaders and business persons.

We wrote: "Freddie Blay demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that this nascent democracy has been hijacked by kleptocrats and oligarchs. I add my voice and pray that my descendants will remember that I was not part of the silent majority."

The National Democratic Congress, NDC, has accused Mr Blay of vote buying and has called for investigations to be conducted into the affairs of the Ghana National Petroleum Cooperation, GNPC, of which he is board chairman. This came as a result of his acquisition of 275 buses for the NPP and allegations of vote buying at the recently held national delegates' conference in Koforidua.

Dr McBagonluri's comments are likely as a result of Mr Blay's recent conduct.
