N/R:US Based Doctors Embark On Surgical And Gynaecological Outreach In Bole

A team of Health professionals made of 2 surgeons,1 gynaecologist and 3 Theatre nurses from Bole but based in the USA will embark on a Surgical and Gynaecological Outreach to the Bole Hospital in Northern Ghana from 22nd to 30th May, 2018.

Some of the conditions they will operate on for free are:Hernia in children and adults; Hydroceles (fluid in testes or swollen scrotum); swelling/ Lumps; Fibroids (Lump in the womb); uterine prolapse (womb protruding through the vagina); obstetric fistulas (women leaking urine or faeces from the vagina);ovarian cyst (fluid in the ovaries) and any other surgical or gynaecological condition.

There is no charge for the services that will be provided by the Bole Health professionals from the U.S.A..

The surgical and gynaecological outreach programme is an initiative of the District Chief Executive for Bole ,Madam Veronica Alele Heming and Dr Braimah Saaka a native of Bole who is a vascular surgeon based in the U.S.A..

In an interview with Bole based Nkilgi FM,Dr Braimah Saaka said he is from Bole and has been regular in Bole.He disclosed that anytime he comes to Bole to spend some time with the family,he always made time to visit the Hospital.The facilities there according to him are not the best....

According to him,he has been in the US for long but feels he should come home and assist with whatever knowledge he acquired as a Doctor in the U.S..It is a project to give back to society what society has given us".

He said the DCE for Bole Madam Veronica Alele Heming, the Bole District Assembly and some ingidens of Bole have really assisted them and they believe what they are coming to do will be a success.
